The “Short Animation Fellowship” is a collaborative initiative by the Titmouse Foundation and Warrior Art Camp aimed at early-to-mid career animation filmmakers. This program supports animation professionals in expanding their expertise and creating original animated shorts.

“Myth-making” Theme: For our inaugural theme, we're welcoming projects that explore myths from diverse cultures, across all genres. Whether drawing from ancient folklore or contemporary stories, this is an opportunity for filmmakers to reimagine and invent myths, integrating unique cultural perspectives and shedding new light on timeless stories that resonate across generations. We encourage bold and imaginative storytelling that can honor the past but also redefines how mythology can shape the present and future.

Phase One (Training): August 22nd - October 22nd, 2026
Phase Two (Production): January - June 2027
The program is structured in two phases:
Phase One: Training Phase (9 weeks) - Participating teams will learn how to plan their short film projects, develop pre-production assets, and create a pitch deck.
Phase Two: Mentorship Phase (6 months) - Selected teams will continue developing and completing their short films with ongoing mentor support.
The fellowship recipients will be chosen through an online application process. A total of 10 teams, each consisting of two applicants applying as a duo, will be selected to participate in Phase One. At the conclusion of Phase One, all teams will present their projects to a judging panel, and selected teams will advance to Phase Two.

Eligibility Requirements:
To be eligible for the fellowship, applicant duos needs to meet these requirements:
Must be at least 21 years old
Able to attend the weekly three (3) hour long sessions
Must be located in the United States or Canada
Fluent in English (program will be taught in English)
Minimum of 1 year of professional work experience
Agree to adhere to the Code of Conduct
Ability to commit to completing the full program
Titmouse Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit supporting underrepresented artists in the animation industry. Since 2020, we have focused on building a more inclusive and progressive creative landscape by providing mentorship, professional programs, and meaningful industry access to help animation talent succeed.
Warrior Art Camp was launched in July 2021 as an art training branch of Warrior Painters. Our mission is to pave the way for students’ art journey. Currently most of our courses are taught online, and have focused curriculums that aim to help students find employment or advance their career in the entertainment art industry. We offer live courses with feedback only. In less than five years, we have launched 450+ courses to 5,700+ students.
