This series highlights inspirational industry creatives (like you!) talking about what their job is, how they got there, what they love about their job and any advice they have to others interested in pursuing a similar path.
This short form content has the intent to provide information to a broad audience and for those who may not know about the exciting opportunities in the entertainment industry!

THE REQUEST:
A 3 minute video of you answering questions below, which will introduce students to job and industry.
Please send along some stills or video clips of your work, you working and/or your work environment to aide in painting a picture of your job.
THE VIDEO CREATION:
• The video can be shot on your phone camera, web cam or other device
If you would prefer assistance in recording the video, you can request a recorded Zoom interview with a BRIC member
• Please shoot the video in 16:9 landscape format
• The tone should be welcoming, positive, professional, and encouraging
• Please keep in mind what is in your physical background and any external noises that may detract from the overall viewing experience
• If you have a preference, please let us know where you would like the sills or video clips to be placed (please send these details via email indicating the order of the images/video clips in relation to the questions)
THE CONTENT:
Here is a list of suggested questions to answer, though please feel free to provide additional information. Your goal should be to present a clear picture of your job, how you got there, and any next steps or advice you have for the students.
Intro: What is your name? Where do you work? What is your job title and what do you do? How long have you been in the field? What motivated you to pursue this job/career/field? What is your earliest memory of being interested in this field?
Body: What hobbies lend themselves to your role? What traits make someone good at this role? What was your path to your position? What is your day to day like? What is a common misconception about the job? What are the best parts of your job? If someone wants to pursue this career, how would they start? How does someone grow in your career path? What skills, knowledge, etc. are required for entry-level positions?
Closing: What resources could they look into to learn more? If they are a bit advanced, what steps can they take to grow? Any advice you would have liked to know when you started?
