Karissa is a Mexican-Samala Chumash writer, producer and author. She is the Creator and Showrunner of Netflix Animation’s, “Spirit Rangers." Prior to Netflix, she wrote for preschool favorites such Disney Junior’s Doc McStuffins, Vampirina, T.O.T.S and The Chicken Squad. She was named one of Animation Magazine’s “Rising Stars of Animation” and was also listed in Variety’s Top 10 Animators to Watch. Karissa resides in Los Angeles, California. (Pronouns: She/Her)
