Angeline Buenaventura

Social Impact & Talent Development Leader | Building Creative Workforce Pipelines & Strategic Partnerships Across Entertainment, Government & Community

Angeline Buenaventura is a strategic leader and cross-sector connector with over two decades of experience driving growth, brand equity, and social impact at the intersection of entertainment, government, and community. She partners with mission-driven companies and institutions to create and implement high-impact programs, campaigns, and initiatives that deliver measurable business results while advancing equity and access. Angeline combines big-picture strategy with hands-on execution to deliver results that matter, aligning purpose-driven goals with outcomes that elevate both brand and impact.

Angeline has held influential roles at globally recognized organizations—including Netflix, The Walt Disney Company, and the Office of Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti—where she has built programs that bridge industries, open doors for underrepresented talent, and elevate organizational reputation through strategic outreach and brand alignment.

As a Talent Development Executive at Netflix, Angeline designed and launched 14 industry training programs across series, nonfiction, and film, resulting in over 400 job placements across the U.S. and Canada. Her work focused on building access and career pathways for the next generation of storytellers in front of and behind the camera. Signature initiatives include the Shondaland and Ladder program, the Shondaland’s Producers Inclusion Initiative, the Assistant Editor Training Program in partnership with the Handy Foundation, and programs for nonfiction production coordinators, line producers, and post-production talent. Many participants have gone on to secure multiple jobs on Netflix and non-Netflix productions, helping to expand and diversify the industry talent pipeline.

At Disney, Angeline served in Corporate Social Responsibility, focusing on synergy across business units—including partnerships with Radio Disney, ESPN, ABC, and others—to integrate CSR into the company’s broader operations. She led marketing campaigns and initiatives that enhanced global awareness, drove social impact, and strengthened brand recognition through strategic integration across Disney’s media platforms and key business partnerships, including campaigns like Friends for Change and Magic of Healthy Living.

Later, as Policy Liaison for Entertainment, Hospitality and Tourism on Mayor Garcetti’s Economic Development team, Angeline helped advance the Mayor’s economic agenda through strategic industry outreach and the development of programs that served the needs of Angelenos. She managed the Evolve Entertainment Fund, forging over 100 industry partnerships to expand access to training and employment for underrepresented communities, and led COVID-response initiatives like the Senior Meals Response program, which provided over 10 meals per week to more than 12,000 seniors across the city.

Beyond her professional roles, Angeline continues to advocate for expanding access and opportunity as an active board member with Cal State University’s Entertainment Alliance, the Entertainment Industry Foundation, and California’s Arts, Media & Entertainment High Road Training Partnership (AME-HRTP).

With a B.A. in Communications and Public Relations from Cal State Fullerton, Angeline brings a rare blend of strategic vision, operational execution, and deep networks across sectors. Her areas of expertise include:

  • Program and initiative development and management
