Colby Wilson, founder of Dynasty Creatives, ‌creates‌ epic ‌experiences‌ ‌by‌ creating an organized plan to achieve an artistic mission. ‌Dynasty Creatives is‌ ‌the‌ ‌manifestation‌ ‌of‌ ‌all‌ ‌the‌ ‌things‌ ‌‌Colby is‌ ‌passionate‌ ‌about;‌ high quality ‌artistic‌ ‌programming, strategic‌ ‌organizing‌ ‌and‌ ‌planning,‌ ‌and‌ ‌a‌ ‌platform‌ ‌to‌ ‌engage‌ ‌the‌ ‌community.‌ Colby began in production and programming as an intern with the National Black Arts Festival in Atlanta, GA in 2008. After graduating with an undergraduate degree in Theatre, Colby taught English courses and developed a performing arts program at Horizon English in Haining City, China. Upon returning to Atlanta in 2013, Colby began work as the Production Coordinator with The City of Atlanta Mayor's Office of Cultural Affairs. Colby's primary focus was the Atlanta Jazz Festival. After working with Atlanta Jazz Festival, Colby moved to Houston, Texas and began working in the public school system, as a Social Studies and Theatre teacher. In the height of the pandemic, Colby took another leap of faith and launched his consulting firm, Dynasty Creatives and started contracting with the Houston Arts Alliance (HAA) and Diversify the Stage (DTS). Shortly after, Colby earned a Master of Arts degree in Arts Leadership from the University of Houston in 2022. Working as an event manager and educator helped to carve a unique lane for Colby which is evident in the work he is doing at The Event Vocational Education Network (EVEN), where he is the Program Manager.
