Dani Yuan
Program Coordinator, Artist
Dani enlisted in the Marines right out of high school and spent 7 years with the prestigious 4th Force Reconnaissance team on deployments to Iraq and Mauritania, serving as communications chief. During this time, Dani also attended UC San Diego, graduating with a B.A. in Political Science and a minor in Biology.
After their time in the Marines, Dani worked in the safety and security industry for companies such as Google, Nvidia, and Pixar. They also developed an interest in the film industry, working on props, screenwriting, and production for various independent films.
Outside of work, Dani has helped organize and run groups. Most notably they helped establish the 405th Halo Costuming Group, one of the largest video game costuming groups in the world, and also volunteered as the Director of Operations for the non-profit Asians in Animation.
They now bring their experiences to BRIC in the role of Program Coordinator, bringing their background in operations and passion for organization to help manage the variety of programs BRIC undertakes in pursuit of its mission.
Outside of BRIC, Dani enjoys spending time with their pets, practicing archery, and studying art and animation.
