Jai Al-Attas
CEO and Co-Founder, Creative Futures Collective
Jai Al-Attas is the CEO and co-founder of Creative Futures Collective, a company that is unearthing the next generation of creative industry leaders from disenfranchised communities and connecting them with creative companies looking to diversify their workforce. Born and raised in Sydney, Australia, to an Indonesian Father and Australian Mother, Jai founded pop-punk indie label, Below Par Records, at 16 years old which was acquired by EMI Music 8 years later. Jai has also directed documentaries, most notably ‘One Nine Nine Four’ a feature-length documentary on the birth, growth, and explosion of punk rock in the ’90s which was narrated by Tony Hawk and has built a cult following as it has never been legally released but found it’s way onto the internet where it’s been viewed over 1 million times. Now at 36 years old and living in Los Angeles, Jai is using his experiences, connections, and chip on his shoulder due to lack of a college education to help break cycles of systemic inequality by providing employment opportunities to diverse and often overlooked talent that has traditionally lacked access, opportunity, and support.
