Katie Low

Animator

Katie Low (Animator) grew up in Philadelphia and attended Germantown Friends school before becoming a pre-med student at Harvard College. Her passion for animation was reinvigorated after taking an elective of the medium and Low went on to receive her master’s in animation at Savannah College of Art and Design.

Low first started in production management at Walt Disney Animation Studios in 2017 as a production assistant for several departments on “Ralph Breaks the Internet.” She then became an animation apprentice and graduated to crowds fix animator on “Frozen 2.” Nearly ten years after changing career paths, Low received her first film credit as an animator on “Raya and the Last Dragon.” Her additional animation credits include “Encanto," “Strange World,” and Wish.”

Low is currently working on upcoming projects at Disney Animation in Burbank alongside her husband, Benjamin, a fellow animator.
