Kohana Wilson
Animator / Director
Kohana Wilson (they/them) is a Japanese-English animator, director and educator based in Brooklyn. They use 2D frame-by-frame animation processes, often using paper and pencil. Nonsense gravity, elastic characters and dense illustration shape the tilted realities created within their work. They are an adjunct professor at the Parsons School of Design, where they teach animation and drawing classes.
Their film 'edith and the tall child' won Slamdance Festival's Grand Jury Prize for Animated Shorts, and has been screened internationally.
