Stacey Gevero Swanby

Educational Event Consultant for BRIC Foundation

 

Stacey joins the BRIC Foundation after more than a decade in the museum field, leading large teams at museums in Los Angeles and Seattle. She had the unique opportunity to be a key member of the inaugural staff of The Broad Museum where she shaped the visitor experience and led a team of over 150 to welcome over three and a half million visitors during her tenure. She led a team known for an innovative and inclusive approach to the visitor experience. She began her career at the community-based Wing Luke Museum in Seattle Chinatown-International District where she oversaw the front-of-house operations and programmed a summer performance series for five seasons.

Stacey loves the thrill of the event day and has a passion for facilitating opportunities for connection and belonging. She is also a community advisory board member and assists with the operations for the Refuge Outdoor Festival that centers BIPOC in the outdoors. Stacey is a graduate of the University of Washington where she studied Art History and Anthropology.
