Miguel Gonzalez is an Art Director on Nickelodeon’s The Casagrandes with a keen eye for marrying whimsical details with the timeless beauty of Mexican culture. With a robust list of art and leadership credits to his name across multiple top-billed animation studios, his specialties lie in prop design, background art, and visual development. Some of his best-known visual development roles include working in environment design on the Jorge Gutierrez feature film The Book of Life, and his numerous roles in background design include Cartoon Network’s Uncle Grandpa and Nickelodeon’s very own Pig Goat Banana Cricket, Rocko’s Modern Life: Static Cling, and Glitch Techs. In the realm of prop design, Miguel has lent his talents to The Loud House and Pig Goat Banana Cricket, as well as Warner Brothers Unikitty! animated series.

In recent years, Miguel has held the crucial position of Art Director, beginning in 2017 on the Cartoon Network series Apple & Onion, and continuing with Nickelodeon as an Art Director on The Casagrandes, a production he has been with since 2018. Miguel has been highlighted multiple times on Nickelodeon Animation homepages as a key figure in furthering the role animation plays in bringing cultural representation to life, and his own work is a shining example of blending heritage with fantasy.
