Visual Development With Walt Disney Studios and Walt Disney Animation Studios

THE MISSION: To give diverse high-school students hands-on exposure and experience in creating content in a virtual setting with professional artists.

WHAT IS THE BRIC CREATIVE ACADEMY? A project challenge for teams to ideate, develop, and produce new content. Types of content and topics will vary.

WHAT WAS THE CHALLENGE? Learn about what makes compelling stories, appealing characters, and believable worlds.

HOW DID IT WORK? We had a group of Walt Disney Animation Studios “coaches” split up in zoom breakout rooms to guide and mentor the teams on their projects and assist them with creating their projects. They collaborated on Magmastudios free collaborative drawing web-based software and were able to send in their final art for additional critique from the artists.
