Simone Giertz (pronounced ‘yetch’) is a maker, inventor, and the founder of Yetch Studio, where she designs and develops original products from the ground up. Her work focuses on thoughtful, slightly unexpected solutions to everyday problems. She blends engineering, humor, and hands-on experimentation to turn unusual ideas into real, functional objects.

She first gained attention for building deliberately impractical robots, a playful starting point that shaped her approach to creativity and made experimentation (and failure) part of the story. Over time, that mindset evolved into a deeper focus on product design and bringing ideas from her sketchbook to the market.
